BETA GLUCANS
Beta-glucans are natural polymers of sugars produced by bacteria, yeasts, fungi and plants. They have immunopharmacological activity, i.e. they stimulate the cells of the immune system and protect against infection by many pathogens.
VITAMIN D
crucial for the activation of our immune system. Most vitamin D is produced naturally by skin exposure to the sun, but it is also introduced through diet or by taking supplements. It is estimated that a large part of the population in Italy has a low blood concentration of this important element. Vitamin D stimulates the differentiation and activation of macrophages (highly differentiated immune cells in the various tissues of the body, which play the role of ‘body scavengers’)
VITAMIN C
contributes to the normal function of the immune system and protection of cells against oxidative stress:
- stimulates natural killer lymphocytes
- supports the chemotaxis of white blood cells towards pathogens
- promotes phagocytic activity
- stimulates the production of antibodies
- triggers the cytotoxic T-lymphocyte response to antigens
VITAMIN B6 / FOLIC ACID
They contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the normal function of the immune system.
ZINC / COPPER / SELENIUM
They contribute to the normal function of the immune system and the protection of cells against oxidative stress.
In particular zinc and copper:
- actively participate in the production of white blood cells in the blood
- help the body fight viruses and bacteria more effectively
- help the immune system to produce more antibodies
