Mannospea, thanks to the synergic activity of its highly concentrated natural components, exerts a favourable preventive action against recurrences of bacterial cystitis and all diseases of the urogenital tract, both female and male. After regular use, it helps create physiological conditions that maintain the body’s natural defences, thus reducing the intake of antibiotics and counteracting the potential emergence of bacterial resistance

Components
Microencapsulated PROBIOTICS
Lactobacillus Plantarum LP01 and the Lactobacillus Rhamnosus LR06 defend the intestinal mucosa from pathogenic bacteria (including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus faecalis) that are among the main causes of urinary tract infections.
In fact, it is well known that altered and excessive intestinal permeability, as a result of changes in the bacterial flora, is the origin of bacterial urinary and prostate infections
The Lactobacillus Plantarum and the Lactobacillus Rhamnosus they also stimulate the immune defences by fighting local inflammation in the intestines and urinary tract more rapidly

D-MANNOSIO
Simple sugar not metabolised by the body, with anti-adhesive action on type 1 fimbriae of microorganisms responsible for urogenital infections, both acute and chronic. It has a structure very similar to the binding site of cellular glycoprotein receptors, and acts as a competitive inhibitor of bacterial adhesion: once bound to D-Mannose, bacteria can no longer adhere to the walls of the urogenital tract and are eliminated with the urine. It inhibits the formation of pathogenic biofilms by the bacteria responsible for recurrent infections.

PEA (PALMITOYLETHANOLAMIDE)
A natural fatty acid-rich compound that acts as a biological modulator in the body, promoting physiological tissue response. It has a structure similar to endocannabinoids, with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving actions. It acts by binding to receptors involved in the control of inflammatory and neuro-protective processes, thus giving an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect. It reduces mast cell migration and degranulation and reduces the over-activation of astrocytes and glial cells, factors underlying the pathogenesis of pain and peripheral and central sensitisation. Both mast cells and glial cells are transformed under the influence of PEA from activated to resting cells, resulting in reduced pain and inflammation.

ECHINACEA ANGUSTIFOLIA

ROOT TITRATED AT 0.6% ECHINACOSIDE
An adaptogenic plant with strong immunostimulating properties that stimulate the production of neutrophils. Echinacoside has a direct antibacterial action through inhibition of the enzyme bacterial hyaluronidase (an enzyme that facilitates bacterial spread through the skin and mucous membranes) and is able to inhibit the growth of the gram-negative bacterium Proteus vulgaris (responsible for cystitis and infections of the urogenital tract).

ZINC, COPPER AND SELENIUM
Zinc and Selenium contribute to the normal function of the immune system.
Zinc and Copper help protect cells from oxidative stress.
Zinc and copper salts are gluconates with clearly higher bioavailability than inorganic salts or oxides.

Description

Urinary tract infections occur when bacteria enter through the urethra and multiply in the urinary tract. The bacterium Escherichia coli, normally found in the intestine, is responsible for most of these infections, but other bacteria such as Proteus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Enterococcus faecalis and Pseudomonas are also present.

Increased antibiotic consumption leads to increased bacterial resistance and relapse problems.

When to use Mannospea

It is recommended for use in cases of inflammation and infection of the male and female urogenital tracts:

  • as a preventive strategy, in recurrent cases that tend to recur (cystitis and prostatitis)
  • in the acute phase
  • in the irritative symptomatology of the patient with bacterial prostatitis
  • in patients with catheters, to reduce bacterial contamination
