FICOXPEA is an innovative formulation that, thanks to the synergic action of its components, performs an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action

Components
Phycocyanin (Spirulina Platensis Extract)
It is one of the main pigments of the algae Spirulina, characterised by its intense blue colour. Extracted from spirulina, Phycocyanin is considered a functional food in its own right due to its nutritional efficiency and low toxicity.

Phycocyanin has important potential as a pharmacological active ingredient in many clinical applications: Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory, Immunostimulant.

Pea (Palmitoylethanolamide)
It is a natural fatty acid-rich compound that acts as a biological modulator in the body, promoting physiological tissue response.

It has an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and neuroprotective action.

Selenium
An element capable of bringing great benefits to the entire body. Just a very small amount a day is enough to help protect cells from oxidative stress

Description

Inflammation is a defence mechanism that the body resorts to in order to remain healthy. This mechanism constitutes a protective response to the damaging action of physical (e.g. trauma), chemical (e.g. acids) and biological (e.g. bacteria, viruses) agents, and its ultimate goal is to eliminate the cause and initiate the reparative process.

Inflammation thus serves to destroy, dilute and confine the injurious agent, however, the malfunctioning of this process can lead to chronic inflammatory diseases.

Ficoxpea due to the synergistic activity of its natural components Phycocyanin (Spirulina Platensis Extract), PEA and Selenium has an enhanced anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect compared to that achieved by the individual substances.
